Travolta, 54, is a trained pilot and has told friends he wants to personally fly his boy back to their home in Ocala, Florida.

Jett, who had suffered a history of seizures, was found collapsed on the bathroom floor of the family's home in the Bahamas on Friday.

A post mortem has given the cause of death as 'seizures'.

Glen Campbell, assistant director of Grand Bahama's Restview memorial mortuary, said the teenager's body had shown no sign of a serious head injury.

Paramedic Marcus Garvey said Jett had a bump on his forehead and was bleeding from the mouth.

'He was unconscious, with no respiratory function or pulse,' said the paramedic. 'John and Kelly were on the scene at all times.'

They travelled with Jett in the ambulance, grasping his hand. The boy was pronounced dead shortly after arrival at Freeport Hospital.

The acting couple called in their own doctor to help with the post mortem. They had been distressed by some reports which had suggested Jett had lain on the floor for 10 hours before being found.

The boy was found shortly after he collapsed by a male nanny. He had a nanny with him at all times because he suffered fits.

Jett had suffered from Kawasaki syndrome since the age of two, which can be brought on by reaction to household cleaning products.

His parents had denied rumours their son had suffered from autism.
